Michael W. Solebello - Principal
Michael has almost 30 years of experience in the
construction industry. In the early 1980’s he
began working on his own projects as an
independent contractor. Deciding to develop a
full-service company was a big step and in 1999
Sawbucks Contracting LLC was established to take
on larger building and remodeling projects.
Michael realized that in addition to quality
craftsmanship clients hungered for
professionalism that was sorely lacking in other
companies. His hands-on experience has proven
invaluable when addressing issues with actual
construction, design, schedules, estimating and
finance. He also has proven experience in real
estate investing and the work required for
condominium conversion and custom home
design/build. Michael’s designs have won two
Beersheba awards and he has been a part of many
award winning projects throughout the New Jersey
shore region. He is married to Susan, both 25
year residents of Ocean Grove. Together they
have two grown children, Michael and Meagan. |

Susan Solebello – Principal/Project
Manager
Susan joined Sawbucks Contracting LLC after its
first year of rapid growth. She brought 18 years
of business management experience to the firm
and has designed a process to make certain the
homeowner is kept informed throughout the entire
project. She achieved this with an easy to read
Work Calendar that keeps the clients up-to-date
on the progress of their project. It is updated
weekly and sent to the homeowner so they know
exactly where the project is at all times. The
calendar also includes important time-lines for
the homeowner so they know when their tile,
flooring, appliances, and plumbing fixtures need
to be ordered and delivered. This process was
singled out as a trend in “Best Practices” in
Professional Remodeler Magazine. As a Project
Manager she also maintains a one-on-one contact
with the homeowner throughout the process and
assists in product selection. |

Jayson G. Urig – Operations Manager and
Estimator
Jayson joined Sawbucks Contracting LLC in 2000
as a Site Manager. He brought seven years of
sales management and construction experience.
The additional knowledge he gained from working
with Sawbucks Contracting LLC made him uniquely
qualified to move into his role as Operations
Manager and Estimator. Jayson has developed
outstanding relationships with trade partners
and vendors to assure that results are coupled
with the security of licensing and insurance.
His estimating is detailed, accurate, and easy
to understand. He is known for his ability to
listen to the homeowner’s desires and concerns
and turn it into a proposal that meets their
vision. He is highly respected by township
officials as well as the Historic Preservation
Commission which allow him to navigate the
permitting process efficiently and effectively.
Jayson lives in Howell with his wife Jaime and
their three young sons, Jack and twins Ethan and
Connor. |

Patrick McGovern – Project Manager
Patrick joined Sawbucks Contracting LLC in 2007
and brings with him 15 years of management
experience. As a general manager in the customer
service area of Bristol Meyers in New Jersey he
oversaw a staff of 90 and during the 6
additional years he spent with them in marketing
in New York City he managed over 75 accounts. He
has worked on and off with Michael Solebello
since high school in all capacities in order to
learn the business hands-on and contribute to
its growth. He is passionate about building and
seeing the homeowner’s plan come to life. As a Project Manager, he will maintain a one-on-one contact with the homeowner. Patrick is a 14 year resident of Ocean Grove and lives with his wife Holly and 2 young sons, Keelan and Myles.

Greg Ploe – Site Manager
Greg joined Sawbucks Contracting LLC in 2002 as
a Lead Carpenter and worked his way up to Site
Manager based upon his excellent customer
service skills and ability to motivate
sub-contractors. Starting his career as a
carpenter with a new home builder, he was
promoted to construction supervisor within 6
years and was responsible for the field
production of homes which included site work,
utilities, roads and the overall home
construction from foundation to completion. Over
the next 9 years he was responsible for building
over 1500 homes. He lives in Barnegat with his
wife Gail and has two grown daughters, Andrea
and Jennifer. |

Steve Twidle – Site Manager
Steve joined Sawbucks Contracting LLC in 2002 as
a Site Manager. He, like Greg, was selected for
his position based upon his excellent customer
service skills and outstanding relationship with
sub-contractors. For the past 25 years Steve has
worked in all areas of the construction and home
improvement business. He is a master carpenter
and is highly acknowledged for his close
attention to detail. Steve is a lifetime
resident of Ocean Grove and designed and built
his own home there. Steve is also very active in the Ocean Grove community.
He is married to Susan and has two teenage children, Samantha and Clayton. |

Mary Pat Sweeney – Office Manager
Mary Pat joined Sawbucks Contracting LLC in 2001
after spending 20 years in the international
banking industry in New York City. The bank she
worked for was bought by another and she was
ready for a change of pace. She gave up her
full-time apartment in the city and moved
full-time to her weekend home, of 16 years, in
Ocean Grove. After taking an extended vacation
she began to look for local work. Having known
Mike and Sue from her years in Ocean Grove, they
approached her about working a few hours a week.
As their business grew, so did Mary Pat’s hours
and responsibilities. She is now in their office
four days a week as their Office Manager. |
